Invalid Profile - Forza Horizon 4

Hello y'alls,

I've been playing this game for a bit now (like 26h+) and I've reached level 100.. Nice and all but since a few hours I cannot load into H4 anymore..

I tried using my laptop with a save that is a few days older, but I got the same error message on there..

Any ideas? If I'll have to restart all over again I'd be pretty pissed lmao.

Help is greatly appriciated.

hey courtesy,

have you tried clearing the cache in the saved data as that could be issue if you haven't then please try that first, if you continue getting the same error message then please contact someone at xbox customer support.

Yeah I've done that multiple times now.. Support is closed for more than 8 hours for now.. If there's nothing else I could do than contacting them I'll have to wait I guess?

Ive just been hit with the same error, where you able to get this sorted as i refuse to start again and lose my entire progression. I had a similar issue with Horizon 3. I refuse to pay £80 for a game and it be this unstable.

Hey there ITheCourtesy!

So you're saying that you are unable to launch the game, or are you getting an invalid profile error?

If you get an invalid profile error, have you by any chance tried to remove and then redownload your profile back on either of those devices?

To do it on the One, try following the steps here on
How to add or remove a Microsoft account on Xbox One to remove and redownload your gamertag as updated as possible,

On the PC, try signing in and then signing out of the app the way it's outlined on our page entitled

How to sign in to the Xbox app on Windows 10 .

Give those troubleshooting steps a shot and let us know if that helped out.

I am running in to the same issue here. I was just starting to play a session my xbox froze kicked me out of the game then said invalid profile delete from dashboard. Never had this issue before. I've did several hard resets, deleted the game, deleted my
save from the system, deleted and redownloaded my live account and still it wont work. I even total system shut down and left it off over night to give it more time and still i can not get into my game.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier but I've been waiting for a response from Forza Support. I didn't try what you said but I'm afraid I won't have another option. I contacted Microsoft support and, with the guidance of
one of the helpers there, and following the tread: "I am getting a message telling me that my profile is invalid, what do I do?", I restarted my game. The helper told me to write a ticket to Forza Support to get my progress back, but they haven't responded
for a day now. I reset the game, synced it with the cloud, where my progress was saved, and still get the same message.

Hi Cold Fusion.

This solution has worked for some users

Open folder:

"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs"

Then in the "wgs" folder I found a "t" folder and a folder with a long name with digits. Delete or move elsewhere these 2 folders. Now the folder "wgs" is empty.

Log off your account in the Xbox app. Log in again. Run Forza Horizon 4 and wait for the servers to restore your data up to 100%. At the end of the process you'll find everything. At least this is what happened to me. I really hope these will be helpful

Have you tried to do a power cycle on your Xbox. Just hold the Xbox button on the face of your Xbox for between 10 to 15 seconds. Wait for it to power down and then restart your Xbox. You will get a green load screen when you restart. Then restart the game
to see if that helped.

I'm on Xbox for windows 10 play anywhere I don't have a Xbox I reset the app on my pc but all that did waswasake me start from scratch
