    invalid hard drive PID number


    I bought a new xbox 360 320gb hard drive and it worked for a few hours only - when drive is plugged in i get E68 error.

    I registered my console and when I am trying to register my hard drive for fixing it tells me that mine PID number is invalid.

    PID number is in this pattern X888888-001.

    What can I do in this situation?

    Invalid phone number

    Trying to register my xbox one which has stopped reading discs, tried entering my phone number (im in the isle of man) and it says invalid to both my numbers.

    Im using the dialing code for both my landline and mobile but it still says invalid.

    Can anyone shed any light on this?

    Controller won’t power on wirelessly and home button DOES NOT WORK HELP

    I’ve tried requesting a repair but its asking for the controller PID number which has unfortunately has been rubbed off.

    If the PID number is saying it's invalid, it's likely that the drive itself isn't an official Microsoft hard drive. Are you able to post back with images of the top and bottom of the hard drive for me? I'll be able to help you determine if it's legit or

    Xbox One X swapping hard drive/Sata 3?

    Doing this most likely invalidates the warranty, plus I do not believe there is a built in system to rebuild the OS back onto the replaced hard drive, so replacing the hard drive you would not be able to reload the OS.

    Also this is not an officially support procedure.
