Invalid Format when starting xbox s

When I go to start my xbox, it starts. However, after it starts, on my LG TV, there is a scrolling invalid format on the screen. Is there an easy fix to this or what is the issue?

    :)

Invalid Format when starting xbox s

    Hello Sokko,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. Try holding the eject and power button together. Once you hear 2 beeps you will let go. This resets the resolution to default.

    Thanks,

    Brad

: Xbox series S invalid format

The instructions apply to Xbox One and Series X|S

    1. If there's a disc in the console, eject it.
    2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.
    3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

Note If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you’ll need to press and hold the Xbox button and the Pair button instead, as your console does not have an Eject button.
    4. In either case, this will start up your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To change this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution you want from the Display dropdown.
    5. If you’re required to complete these steps on every startup, you’ll want to change your TV connection to HDMI as shown in step 3 of the next section, "Your screen is blank and you use an AVR in your setup." For more info, see How to adjust the display settings on your Xbox.

Hi and thanks for reaching out. I hope you’re doing well. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be happy to help you.

    Please try the steps below;

    1. If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

    2. On the console, press and hold the Power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

    3. Press and hold the Power button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start-up in low-resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

NOTE: If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, press and hold the Xbox button and the Pair button instead, as your console doesn’t have an Eject button.

    4. In either case, this will start up your console in low-resolution mode (640 × 480).

To change this setting, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution that you want from the options under Display.

    Invalid format

This has happened to me as well. Tried getting hold of Bungie but they have a wonderful system in place to make it impossible to actually speak to anyone there. I'm stuck. If anyone out there has a solution I'd be very grateful if they could let me know?
(I tried the solution supplied by Kothos below but it didn't work for me. Thanks anyway, mate).

Fixed it! Turns out it was the 3D setting and I don't have a 3D TV. How it glitched itself into that setting I'll never know, I didn't do it.

But I logged in with an alternate account, memorised the stick and button moves to get to Settings and change the 3D option and it worked! Stupidest problem I have ever encountered in 18 years of working in IT.
