Invalid format on Xbox One

I played my Xbox One at my house perfectly fine in 1080p. I brought my Xbox over to my girlfriend's house and as soon as I plugged it in I got "Invalid Format" on the bottom right corner. I've tried different ports on the tv, different cables, and unplugging
the Xbox and plugging it back in. I've Google's all over the place and cant find any answer whatsoever. I really hope I get an answer by the end of tonight.

Confusion

My Xbox One will not show it's video, or audio. It keeps saying 'Invalid Format'. I need suggestions.

 

Go into settings/display and sound I always have the TV connection on auto connect have you tried that.

 

There is no option for that it just has me change the picture mode or how it all sounds.

 

When you are in Display and Sound you should see.

TV Resolution mine is 1080p.

under that you should have TV Connection press that you should see,

Auto Detect

HDMI

DVI

Choose auto detect, Hopefully that will help you out.

I suspect your girlfriends TV doesn't support 1080p. What you can do, if you're still at your girlfriends and she has no other TV, is to try the following steps:

1. Turn off the console if it is on.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. Note: This will boot your console in a low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset these settings again, press the Menu button, select Settings, and then select
Display & sound.
