Invalid email domain and afterward problems

Hello. My name is Ariel and a few years ago, my brother and I opened a Gold account for our Xbox 360. Unfortunately, we misspelled the email, but the system accepted it anyway. A month ago, I started having some problems and had to contact the support,
and they told me to delete my profile and clear the cache, etc, and then download the profile back, but because of the typo, we couldn't. After some time, we finally figured out the typo and managed to get it right, but it now says the password is wrong. My
gamertag is "DeadMadness77". Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for the attention.

Since you entered a invalid email into your vault registration, you cannot receive vault emails. We have contacted our winner experience team who have detailed to us that the email domain you registered with is likely missing letters as the domain provided
is very similar to a popular email domain. They will contact you via private message with your token code. You can see messages via accessing the drop down menu from the top right of this webpage, by clicking your name.

Since you input an invalid email address (a domain with a .col address), you are likely unable to receive these messages. Since we cannot adjust a user's registration information in any way, we are currently discussing with our win team an alternative method

Sorry to hear it. The best anyone can offer here is to see if you can change the password using the instructions at this link

support.xbox.com/.../forgot-microsoft-account-solution

Beyond that, because the email address you're talking about does not exist for you there may be nothing that can be done about it.

If you do manage to regain access to the account by changing the password then I would recommend changing the email address associated with the account to prevent issues again in the future.

Is this a hotmail account? What is the domain name? If this is a domain that has been shutdown there may be no way to recover it because then the e-mail address would be invalid.

If you logged with that email the first time you wont have issues now to log in, the email domain won't be a problem, as the account it's from Microsoft even if you used an email from a different server

If the problem is that you can't verify the account then you need to contact the email domain owner/support
