Invalid Code for Gift Card

I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of Forza Horizon 3 from the online Microsoft store. Included in the purchase was a free $10 Xbox gift code (or an Xbox gift card, or a Microsoft Store gift code - every time I get an E-Mail, it's called something different).
However, the code I received does not work. From what I've seen, every code is supposed to be a 25 digit code. The instructions on how to redeem it take me to a spot requiring a 25 digit code (https://live.xbox.com/en-US/RedeemToken).
However, the code I received is only 9 digits long. I tried talking to someone via chat support, but that person had no clue what they were talking about and eventually sent me here. My original order number, if needed, is [Mod Removed]. I
spent $100 on this game, and would really like a working code, like I was promised.

I have bought a $20 gift card through gamestop and I cannot redeem it . It says that the code is invalid

 

I Lost $15

I have recently put in a code for a $15 Xbox Store gift card. I put in the code and it said i got the money but never did. I tried putting the code in again but it said it was invalid. Any support would be appreciated

 

The code is for use on microsoftstore.com, not Xbox Live (for some reason the email instructions were sent incorrectly). When you make a purchase on microsoftstore.com, you would enter it in the promo code area during checkout. If you still have issues with
the code, you will need to contact customer support for the Microsoft Store.

 

Thanks for the quick response. I had that thought, so I tried using it there, but I just get a notification that the code is invalid. I'll contact their support then. This is the first time I've ordered from the Microsoft Store, and it's been nothing but
a headache. Guess it'll be the only time.
