    INTERNETLESS XBOX ONE


    Is it possible to set up a brand new Xbox One from straight out of the box in order to play games without having to connect to Xbox Live?



    Where I am there is no internet service and am just about to order one to be sent to me, but first I thought I would check to see if I can set it up without having to connect to the Internet. Any advice?

    I am setting up an Xbox One for someone that don't have internet and the area where this Xbox is going well there internet services sucks. Can they still play the xbox ? Will installing disks work without WiFi? Or did they just buy a $500 brick? Basically

    Do not leave personal information on a public forum. The person you are setting the xbox one up for will be able to use the system without internet.

    Hey Noddy244,

    Unfortunately you will have to connect to the internet first because there are system updates that come out often that need to be downloaded and applied. The most recent update came out last week, so the chances of receiving a console that was manufactured
    after that and has the current update is very low. Sorry.

    You need to connect to the internet the first time you use an xbox one as it won't work without an update.

    After that you'll be able to use it offline.

    If you don have a good broadband connect......too bad. There, I said it for MS. I'm not willing to give up on moving forward just because some people still don't have the *** internet. Get on board.....or go buy a super Nintendo.

    You could try getting another cord and just wiring the PC to the router as well.
