    internet problem


    I have been playing this game for over 2 years and there has been a lot of problems. Now it won't let me play Solitaire Daily Challenge. It keeps saying I am not connected to the internet, which is not correct. Sometimes it says there is trouble connecting
    to the internet and sometimes it works fine. My scores are under my code name(I guess that is what it is). . I go on the computer every single night at 12 midnight to play the game for the next day but now it will not let me in. I am about
    to stop playing but I really enjoy the games, when they work. Please let me know why it keeps saying I am not on the internet. Thank you

    Internet Problem

    Wireless Network Troubleshooting -

    - Xbox not seeing wireless network -

    If the Xbox is not seeing the network, power cycle the Xbox by unplugging the Xbox from the wall outlet and let it sit for about 5 minutes.

    Power cycle your network by unplugging the power to the modem & router for about 60 seconds.

    Plug the Xbox back into a wall outlet and not a power strip.

    Turn the Xbox on and see if you're able to see your network.

    - Xbox Not connecting to your network or taking your network password -

    Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

    Power cycle your network by unplugging the power to the modem & router for about 60 seconds.

    - If that fails then, go to Settings > Network > Network Settings > Forget Wireless Network

    - Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart

    - Try and reconnect to your wireless network again

    - Game Server Connection issues -

    Go to Advanced settings > DNS Settings > Manual - Set the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 and the Secondary as 8.8.4.4

    Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart

    - NAT Type Unavailable -

    This means that the router is not allowing the Xbox to communicate out on any of the ports that it needs.

    Power cycle the router and clear the Alt MAC on the Xbox

    - If that fails then go through the forget wireless network steps posted above

    I'm having an issue with my One X where everytime I boot the console up it won't connect to the internet. It will say the router is fine for signal etc but it will say NAT type unavailable and service status unavailble. I then have to disconnect the router
    and reconnect it and retype the password etc everytime. Sometimes that fixes it, and other times it will still say "connect to xbox live" on the dashboard even if the settings say its connected. I then have to do a hard reset a couple of times before eventually
    the dashboard will load properly. It's been doing it everyday recently. Never had an issue with my day one XB1...

    Same problem for me. The Xbox One refuses to recognize my wireless network and tell´s me it´s the wrong network password.

    It isn´t because 3 Iphones, 3 Ipads, two separate TV-sets and one PC finds the networks AND recognizes the same password.

    This must be and hardware issue with the Xbox One!?

    Hi Flux,

    Thanks for the update on the issue. We recommend when it does it again to watch the router/gateway. Make sure the lights don't blink off for brief second. This will cause disconnect from game server. Personally had my internet disconnect reconnect so fast
    I stayed on the server. But I seen the lights go off on gateway when this happened.

    With all the unseasonable weather hot in a lot of areas, rain and fires in others. Weather can have an affect on internet connection.
    I will go ahead and lock this thread as it has been resolved. Please feel free to come back to the forums if you have any other issues, questions, or just want to create a discussion to talk to fellow gamers.
