    Internet Only Bad When Gaming. 1GB with Ethernet


    I think I have an internet issue, even though they came and replaced my router. I have 1GB fiber plan, but everytime i try to play multiplayer games it lags. On Playstation 5 NBA2k, it lags when playing online 5 v 5 matches... On PC it lags when playing WARZONE bad. I get like 20-50 FPS. But when i have a youtube or twitch stream playing on my other monitor while gaming, MY WARZONE IS FINE and get 80+ FPS with barely LAG. PC has a 1660super b450 16gb ram, 500 ssd with 190 gb free space. So in order for me to game on pc, i need to have a video playing on a separate monitor for it to run smooth. Ive tried one monitor and video in the background but it didnt work and warzone would be 20 fps. I always test speed on pc and get at least 800+ up/down. And when i test speed on PS5, its always low with random numbers like : 200 Down / 5 Upload. Any ideas or reccommendations?

    Same thing is happening to me. This and also when trying to play connected to the internet (ethernet), I am constantly disconnected within 30 seconds of starting ANY game mode, with a message telling me something along the lines of "Some content requires
    an internet connection. Please check your connection." This happens when I am connected wirelessly or connected via ethernet. I haven't been able to play one game while connected to the internet. The only way I can play even a quick game is to disconnect ethernet
    completely and play offline.

    OMG, what is the deal with all my Xbox One updates!!?

    If you have no way to upgrade to unlimited Data for your internet then I would recommend playing your One games offline, only connecting back to get absolutely necessary updates.

    A 1gb patch is almost considered small these days.

    Hello, I am having a similar issue. I often move my Xbox One between 2 rooms when needed, only one room has an ethernet connection though, and the other I just connect to the internet. Sometimes when I move it into Room 2, it doesnt connect to the internet, and when I load up the game, the save is reset similar to Shahmeer. When I get back on the ethernet connection, the save is still reset, any ideas?

    Works Well. About the only way to connect in a hotel.

    With ICS, the computer passes any internet traffic on to the Xbox it needs and handles the web browsing.

    Try your xbox on a friends internet - if it works there then there is something wrong with the stuff you're using - possible 2 bad ethernet cords.
