Internet & multiplayer connection good. Still can't connect to live

from what I've seen many people are having the same issue including friends in my area. Internet connection is fine. Wifi still works great. Xbox says it's good. Yet refuses to connect to Xbox live. Assuming it's an outage and I'm praying someone from Xbox
looks in to this. As far as troubleshooting goes do not tell me to remove mt account and add it back. my friend just did that and can't get his gamertag back because Xbox live is broken. Vicenza, Italy region.

Can't play any games online

Every time I try to play online multiplayer on any online game my Xbox one won't connect to the servers. I just recently upgraded my internet and it still won't connect. I tested the multiplayer connection and it says its all good. The internet strength
has a strong connection. I can still log in my Xbox live account with no problem.

Hello.

Can't connect to xbox live, console startsup fine, tests show internet connection is good but to no avail. Also any games installed show 0x800705b4 code, but there's no info of solving the issue, beside any related to apps & games.

Its not "because Xbox live is broken" that the issue happens but because of the changes in the users account or the impending updates.

That being said removing your profile from the console and downloading it again is the best solution and if you get an error code clear your cache.

Follow the step by step instructions:

a)To remove the account from xbox live console:

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Under "Account," select Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove.

Select Remove to confirm.

When you're finished, select Close.

b) To clear cache on an Xbox One:

Press and hold the power button on the front of the console until it powers down completely.

Unplug the power cable from the back of the console so that the power brick in not connected to the console.

Press the power button on the console three or four times. This will ensure that any remaining power in the battery is drained, clearing the cache on the console.

Plug the power cable back into the console.

Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.

Turn on the console using the power button.

c)To download your Xbox profile to the Xbox One console:

1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

2. Scroll down, and then select Add & manage.

3. Select Add new.

4. Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that's associated with your Xbox profile, and then select Enter.

5. Enter the password for your Microsoft account, and then select Enter.

6. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

7. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences and download your Xbox profile to your Xbox One console.

As I said before don't tell me to remove my account because it doesn't work. Due to Xbox live being BROKEN in my area I am unable to connect to Xbox live to recover it in the first place. So if somebody could actually read my thread instead of copying and
pasting the same "solution" in everyone's thread with this issue that would be great. Thanks.

 

I have the same problem and your right TryOxide removing your account dose not work

 

Well it's good to know there are a few of us that have the same issue. All we have to do now is wait for Microsoft to acknowledge that there is a problem. And then fix it. Estimated time of 2 weeks to a year is my guess.

I am having the same issue. I did the factory reset on my console. Now it is stuck in "Its Time To Update". Tried offline download update solution as well. Still not working. I am in the Vicenza area as well and I have 3 friends with the same issue.

 

Yep. 4 of my friends have the same issue. Call Xbox support they tell you to "log out and log back in." If that doesn't work they tell you "delete your account and recover it back". As I try explaining to them I am unable to recover the profile due to not
being able to connect to Xbox live at all. It's a mess.

 

TryOxide Sorry you are having issues connecting to live. The instructions given resolves the issue for the majority of the users and you going from post to post discouraging the advice is not helpful. Have you even tried the suggestions up to and including
the removal and re-adding of the profile? Again, these solutions work for the majority of users.

Please state exactly what you have tried to correct your exact issue and we will work with you to get a resolution.

 

Myself and dozens of others in the Vicenza area experienced the issue at the same time and have all of the same symptoms and no one has resolved it yet. I know, for example, everyone in my building that I know cannot reach XBL services. When using the Win10
Xbox app, it claims that I am not connected to the internet. I am.

This is not an issue with our Xboxes and is not something we can resolve ourselves.

I connected my Xbox to a mobile hotspot and got online, so my profile is not the issue. It's the connection between my Xbox, Telecom Italia and the XBL servers.

 

The majority of people on this thread have the same issue I have in the same area. I have $500 Xbox with no accounts on it because you and your friends tell everyone to delete their account and add it again because it's the "solution". So I say again due
to MANY of us not being able to connect to Xbox live at all we are unable to reach our accounts through Xbox live to recover it in the first place. So now we all have Xbox's with no accounts on them because we were told to delete it and re add it. I'm trying
to prevent someone from losing their account like myself and many of my friends in this area have. You guys going around telling everybody to delete their accounts and add it back is not helping the majority of people with this issue. From what I've seen it
helps maybe 1/4 of the people. It's a $500 paperweight. Not to mention the hundreds of dollars spent in games and $60 a year for service that barely works.
