internet is fine but gaming still lags for every online game

Yep, it's because they are still using the stupid lag compensation stuff that they introduced with Black Ops so even if you have the best connection in the world you'll be getting outgunned by a little scrub who is paying about a fiver a year for 1mb internet
line. I think it has something to do with the game recording all the matches in the theatre mode as before BO and MW3 these games played fine online (lag wise not cheaters/modders).

Go check the COD forums because every *** and his dog is complaining about the lag compensation over there.

Ive checked my internet speed and still getting lag on every game ive got,So i went on my ps3 and my games on that have no lag what so ever

NAT type wont effect connection speed but it can affect latency, which is where the lag kicks in. 20Mb is ample for online gaming.

As Temhotabot has already stated, NAT status does not cause lag. As for the semantics of lag and latency, Lag is what you see on the screen, and latency on the connection is what causes lag.



NAT has nothing to do with lag because the NAT (Network Address Translation), on your router/modem only deals with converting outside IP addresses into internal ones for your own network. It's a firewall, an on/off switch, not a fast/slow switch.

For assistance with your connection performance, take a look at
this link and leave the NAT well alone.

NAT type has no affect on connection speed. It sounds like you need to upgrade your internet service OP. As mentioned above what are your connection speeds? Go to the above links and run three tests; one close to you, one far
from you and one in between. Then post the results and we'll see what the issue may be.
