Internet is connected to WiFi but does not work well

Here are the troubleshooting steps to perform:

Please turn off your Xbox by holding the power button for 10 seconds, then unplug the power cable from your router and modem. Wait for a few minutes, then plug them back in and turn on your Xbox.

And then check NAT type. Your NAT type must be Open.

To do this kindly go to Settings > General > Network settings on your Xbox and check your NAT type.

If it's "Moderate or Unavailalbe," you might need to open the necessary ports on your router.

Here are the list of the ports:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

If opening your network ports doesn't work please change DNS Settings.

Go to settings> network> network settings> Advanced settings>DNS Settings> Manual.

PRIMARY DNS: 8.8.8.8

SECONDARY DNS: 8.8.4.4

Kindly restart your Xbox and also your router after performing these steps.

It is important as well that your console is in a well-ventilated area and that there are no electronic devices nearby that could cause interference with the network signal.

If the issue persist after performing the steps, please use a wired Ethernet connection for a more stable connection.

This situation does depend on the internet package they are paying, as well as the type of cable they use and how far they have the internet connection points, also if it is by cable or wifi

Just on smartglass and stuff like that using Wifi Direct. Say you're using a tablet with smartglass connected to the One using wifi direct, does that mean the wifi the tablet is getting internet through stops working at that stage? So basically can you have
a device connected to another using wifi direct while still using wifi for internet at the same time?

WiFi Direct and standard WiFi are two different things. Hooking up other devices to your Xbox One using WiFI Direct shouldn't have any impact on your WiFi Internet connection.

the app does need a little work I would say but for the most part works okay bad internet (if using wifi try wired connection) or a slower pc could also be causing connection issues.
