internet hotspot not working with my xbox

Hi there depending on what you have your internet hotspot set as the xbox may not be able to connect to said hotspot for a number of reasons try the following:

Android

Make sure your SSID is suitable

Make sure your password is correct

If the AP Band is on 5GHz then turn it to 2GHz for better results

Iphone

Enable Mobile Data

Enable Personal Hotspot

Check the information is correct

Name the SSID with a suitable name

Check the password settings

Go the the xbox network settings and set up a new connection re enter the information again this time making sure everything is correct and enabled correctly also ensure that you have a data plan of x amount of data i.e. unlimited would be the best option.

If your still having trouble with the hotspot feature i would refer to your handset manual for more options and pin point the cause of the unsuccessful attempts to connect to the xbox console system.

As for a better solution to your bad WiFi connection downstairs, may I recommend you get a pair of

those homeplug adapters that you can plug into your electrical outlets, which will then inject a network signal into your house's electrical wiring.

Then you can use your house's electrical wiring as a wired network.

Simply plug those near your router and your console, and connect the router with that plug near it.

Boom! You got "internet" in your electrical wiring. Now every electrical outlet in your house can provide you with internet access.

Simply plug a second adapter into an outlet near your console, and depending on the adapter model you bought, it will broadcast WiFi, or you simply plug in an ethernet cord.

No more PC forwarding hassles.

What if my nat type is open, didn’t work on hotspot, and my internet is working on everything else I own?

Actually i think it may be something my brother has done to the internet to affect my xbox because i just used the same internet from my laptop using mobile hotspot and xbox liv is working through this
