WTF microsoft. My xbox cant connect to The internet. Hardware failure?! Thats Unacceptable. Im *** off. Its already the second one ive had because the first one didnt work right out of the box. Weeks after my warranty runs out theres a critical failure.....no
*** that and fix it for free. Who ever heard of internet hardware failure? I bet that hasnt happened to the PS4. There must be a design flaw and if there isnt it should still be resolved free of charge. *** hardware failure!!!!!????? *** microsoft. Ive spent
thousands on your products and have been loyal and now your telling me to dish out 100$ to repair my xbox. *** that! Wheres my refund for halo MCC? When you release a *** product you make it right with your loyal customer base. So my only options are to waste
100$ on a console thats going to break again in a couple months if im lucky or buy a PS4 that works with little hardware issues. Why should i spend the 100$? *** fix it or create another enemy.

I've got the original xbox elite. I've tried two ethernet cables now, neither works with my xbox but both work with a friend's.

Hardware failure?

Pretty sure I know where this is going, but as of today whenever I try to sign in to xbox live it won't connect. I ran a network test periodically, the first time it connected to the network but not to the internet, although I know that port is working
as I tried it with another xbox. After that, it is failing to even see the network. This is with the wire. If it fails to connect my xbox to the network, does that mean the port on my xbox is going bad? Is there a fix for this, or a way to verify that this
is the issue? I have also tried using my wireless connection. It sees my wifi network, I plugged in my password, and it fails to connect to the network. In all fairness, I'm in a really bad spot where the wifi is awful and is known to drop, so I don't fully
trust that method, hence why I've always ran a 25 foot cable to the wall connection.

Just to put things in perspective. I did the rough math and its around 10000$ ive spent on hardware and games since the original xbox. 100$ To lose a customer for life? Microsoft at its finest. And im not bluffing, with 343 doing halo now theres basically
no reason to buy the xbox one.

But from my understanding is that LAG can only be caused by a drop in your internet connection or maybe your NAT settings are set to strict, if it is your NAT settings maybe take a look at this link: https://support.xbox.com/en-ZA/xbox-one/networking/nat-error-solution,
but if its your net connection then maybe contact your ISP to check if there is an issue with the line.

check your cable if its in good condition. Try to check the router and see if the port lights up meaning its connected correctly and can access in and out data. blinking lights should be an indicator depending on the router brand.

Also try to use the cable and insert it in your laptop home computer and see if it can connect to the network. Ethernet cables contains a lot of wires and one defective wire can make the whole 25 meter long cable a dud.

Ethernet wires are more prone to malfunction that an xbox ethernet port since the port is rarely touched at all unless you remove the cable most of the time which i doubt.

or better yet buy a new cable and make sure to test it on the store to see if its working or not.
