Internet Explorer won't start

Ever since I clicked on a link within Killer Instinct to Internet Explorer, the app has remained on a black screen with a loading circle vainly rotating away. Restarting the app and unplugging the xbox have consistly failed to resolve this issue.

Start > type internet explorer.

 

Xbox slim 4GB suddenly won't play apps or games (either disc or downloaded), but dashboard works perfectly??? Really weird!

Never mind, the update was for internet explorer, no system update. I can download games from market, I can see trailers for movies, but games won't start.

 

I've been recommended to do a system restore. I will lose all apps, saves and so on that haven't been synched with my Xbox Live account. I'm honestly hoping that this is true, as losing my Killer Instinct save will suck hard.

 

When I try to get Internet Explorer I get "This Page Is Not Available" or something like that. WTF?

How do I do a System Restore? Will it get IE working on my XBONE?

The only saves I have are for COD so if I have to lose them and start over I wont mind if it gets IE working.

Somebody should verify this workaround...

 

Xbox One, while doing the system restore as you guys put it is nothing more then restoring back to factory defaults. if you go into Settings, then Sysem and hit the Restore factory defaults button, you will lose your games and any apps you downloaded. all
of your saves are saved to the cloud, they are really just backed up on the cloud as long as you are connected to the internet and have a solid connection. If restarting your console did nothing then do that, its worth a shot if you really want to use IE.

 

my internet explorer always crushes and the controls don't respond. i restored to factory defaults and it worked. but after one week it was actualizated and leaves to work again. should i restore it back again?

 

I had this problem for awhile, I contacted MS, they had a very simple fix... Unplug your power brick for 2 mins, replug it in and try IE. This easy fix worked for me. Thanks MS CAIT!!!!!

 

Hey dude, i found out the solution to the problem right after you explained when the problem started. I also play killer instinct and have the exact same problem. how i fixed it was, by simply again clicking on a internet explorer link inside of killer instinct
again. after it brings you to the site. press the back key on the controller "select" button and close all of the tabs for internet explorer. close and exits internet explorer after all tabs have been closed. once you start IE again it should starting working
again like normal. hope this helps homie.

I tried unplugging the power cord and it worked my IE works again

 

I am having this problem but i dont play killer instinct no more!

I deleted it recently but the internet explorer app crashes on me like 50 times a day lol and its infuriating!!

Now since yesterday it refuses to even start, i have tried i hard reboot, i dont use insta on mode and reset network settings etc and still the app just wont start up!

When i click it i get a black screen with the white spinning wheel in the centre (the loading icon) and then after 30 or so seconds it will just close itself!

I am in the preview program and have reported it and also have reported the browser problems lots of times! still ms fails to fix it.

Whats funny is my ps4 browser is also trash and laggy and also crashes allot but my wii u browser is the best non pc browser i have used! its bloody awesome lol funny how nintendo has a better browser on a less powerful system while ms a soft ware company
