Internet Explorer without Flash, are there any alternatives?

Is this something being worked on, or is this something the browser will not support?

what is the point in the internet explorer without the ability to use a flash player? just pointless.

 

why be forced to use youtube app instead of on explorer?

Internet Explorer does NOT support HTML 5 at this time, the Youtube videos that do work in Explorer are flash format.

This would be nice to have Flash because we STILL CANNOT ACCESS HBO GO!!!! Get it together XB1!!! Wow...

It's HBO Go that should get it together.

Flash is on it's way out even on PC. Websites just need to adopt HTML5 and then videos will work.

More and more websites are starting to work without flash. Youtube, ign and others already work on internet explorer app without flash because they adopted HTML5. Its only a matter of time before flash becomes obsolete.

 

But that is the only way to access HBO Go thru Internet Explorer. Gotta have Flash. So the app hasn't launched on the XB1 yet, and you cannot access it thru Internet Explorer due to the Flash issues.

 

It's up to the content providers to make apps.

Its up to HBO to get the app on Xbox.

You should contact HBO and let them know you need an Xbox one app.

 

There are plenty of other reasons why having Flash support would be useful. I'd really like to be able to stream Sunday Night Football on NBC's website on the xbox one so I can make use of the screen in a screen.

It's a Microsoft Platform.. How can it not support flash in XB IE?

Flash player is not a microsoft platform. It's made by Adobe.

Adobe have already abandoned flash on Linux, playstation, android and others so the chance of it coming to xbox are non existant.

 

I like flash and it is not on the way out. I only enjoy having the option to flash. Xbox advertised to be like all in one entertainment console. Does not live to any of the promises. Internet explorer on the Xbox is a disappointment.
