Internet Explorer app won't start

I've tried all day today and for some reason, I can't get into the IE app on the Xbox One. It just shows a black screen with the loading symbol and loads seemingly forever. I checked the Xbox Live Service Alert and there's no mention of it. My network is
fine, as are all of my other apps, games, and devices. Is this happening to anybody else? Do you have any idea what it could be?

Getting antsy for windows 8.Downloaded the internet explorer app and my controller won't point to settings.

Install Explorer

From Xbox Home, go to Apps and select Browse Apps.

Browse or search for Internet Explorer.

Select Internet Explorer to download the app. When the download is complete, the Internet Explorer app automatically starts.

To start Internet Explorer later, go to Apps, My Apps and then Internet Explorer.

Why would you use IE on the One? With that said, I don't use it on my One so I couldn't tell you if it's working on the One, but it's fine on my PC.
Maybe it's a virus?! Naaaaaaaa... impossible... right?

Ive had this happen a few times. Usually a hard reset fixes the issue. Did you do that? No? Yes? Hard resets fix everything on Xbox One.

I'm upset with myself because that is something I actually didn't do (I should know better). I went to delete this thread once I realized it, but it won't let me.

In any case, I'm too tired to do it now; I'll do it in the morning and let you know how it goes.

Okay, I suppose it really is the solution to all of the console's problems, because it worked. I'm using the IE app and my USB keyboard on the Xbox One to type this message.

Sign in to Xbox Live with an Xbox Live-enabled gamertag.
Delete Internet Explorer:
1. Restart your Xbox console.
2. Go to Settings and select System.

4. Select All Devices.
5. Select Games and Apps.
6. Highlight Internet Explorer and Press Y.
7. Select Delete and choose Yes to delete all items for Internet Explorer.
Reinstall Internet Explorer:

Unfortunately it's most likely you won't be able to browse the internet on an Xbox 360 anymore. However, it's worth a shot looking at the recommendations at https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/xbox-360/apps/internet-explorer-help

It's an App and it's not added by default. If you have the Fall 2012 System Update, go to the Apps section and click the big Internet Explorer tile which will start the download.
