Thought i would let peeps no becareful when using it the news been saying that theres a bunch on there think getting peeps personal information just a heads up for u all

Just a quick question concerning ie wasn't it suppose to come with flash or play flash websites ???

 

I don't know anyone who uses Internet Explorer any longer on the PC and I don't think you have to worry about the 360 since it doesn't run unsigned code.

Can't speak for the One since I don't own the console.

 

it is a flash issue and it is affecting internet explorers 6 through 11, I am still not worried as I am insignificant and I don't use flash these days

 

I use IE but only because it seems to work better with the forums. Firefox takes ages to load them up for me and chrome doesn't seem to align a lot of things properly.

 

people now these days have nothing better to do then cause problems

 

I like Chrome, but it's easily overtaken by malware. I've had to delete and re install it at least 5 times in the last year. IE and Firefox seem grossly convoluted. I just like a simple browser. I hate having 10 different toolbars. And I hate having
a toolbar appear that I didn't authorize. GRRR!!

 

Toolbars, oh how I hate them too. Especially when they are cluttered with things like games, dating sites, horoscopes ect... malware is the worst for that and I cant stand it. Then when you uninstall, it goes hide and seek on your computer and you cant find
the source file -_-

 

More caution and a better firewall are your best friends.

 

The Xbox is safe----- Flash is unavailable anyway.

Maybe the PC area could use this bit of information or, just use a decent antivirus program.

Xbox is safe? LOL! Not hardly, especially as it becomes more and more like a PC. The Xbox isn't safe, but right now it's just not worth the time for hackers when they can more easily target a Windows PC and affect more users. Anyone that thinks the Xbox
is actually safe though obviously doesn't know the first thing about computers. Hmmm... I suppose that's not so surprising to see someone who has no clue what they're talking about telling everyone else how they should think.

 

So, your saying it's not worth a hackers time to gain access to millions of account on the Live service????

I will assume you're being sarcastic not uneducated.......

This particular exploit requires a Flash download/Java......... Please remember this is the XBOX section of the Microsoft forums. Not the PC area.

The Xbox is safe as these downloads are unavailible in the first place. Your PC maybe at risk.......... Again though a Decent free antivirus or spyware program should be enough.
