Internet Errors Not Resolved with Troubleshooting

My xbox 360 was working fine up until about 2 months ago. I had an issue with gold and went to silver (free). Since then it's been booting me from being connected to live off and on. But this month it won't even allow me to connect to live at all so I can't
play Fallout 3 content. I've been getting internet errors, mtu errors and icp- errors. They go back and forth, but the most consistent is the internet error. I have an S model and connect with the internal wireless. I tried it hooked up wired to my modem/router
and it connected to live instantly. Having it permanently wired isn't an option for me. I went back to wireless and the first time it went back to being fine but after about 5 minutes it started having issues again.

I went through the troubleshoot guide, network setting, configure network, factory defaults, etc. I checked my modem/router settings- mtu is at 1500 by default, no mac filtering and not blocked by firewall. Still won't work.

I'm using an **** dg860a modem/gateway. It's worked fine for 6 mo. before the issues started.

How do you fix error code 0x89234013?

We both got on with Microsoft support and talked to 4 different agents. None has resolved the issue yet. All troubleshooting steps have not fixed the issue.

If you have good signal strength on wifi and this doesnt happenon a wired connection then it could also be wireless interference on your gateways current wifi channel.

You see in your status report where it says 'C'? Thats shows your wifi radio in your gateway is currently broadcasting on channel 6. If a lot of your nearby neighbors wifi are using that samr channel it can interfere with your wifi.You can try changing
that wifi channel in your gateway configuration page. This will fix a lot of wifi disconnect problems.

If you have an android phone or tablet you can download an app called wifi analyzer whichn can tell you which wifi channel is being used the least. Then you should switch to whatever that least used channel is.

Try this and post back with results. Good luck

 

Nope, it still had the same issue no matter what channel I changed it to. Default channel setting is auto, and recommended being on channel 1, 6, or 11. Confirmed the C line matched the new channel setting but I didn't see a difference. Tried all channels
1-11, just to be sure, with the same results.

 

Upon further research the model of gateway you have does have some known issues with xbl. One of them is lag and intermittent disconnections as a matter of fact as show in the networking support section

That didn't work for me either.

I tried to see if it was my console. I unplugged the S console. Brought out the phat console with the black wireless adapter. i got the same error. I disconnected the hdd and ran initial setup. It got to the part of connecting to live and said I needed to
update the system. It started updating but stopped after about a minute and said that it couldn't download the update and gave me this error
