Internet disconnects when installing games

Whenever i try to install a game to my xbox one my internet disconnects after a couple percent, making installing digital games almost impossible and most of my purchases are digital. I also have this issue with backwards compatible games but its not present
at all on my 360. I cant find anyone else with similar issues.

It's downloading the update whilst installing, next time disconnect from the internet whilst installing the game.

Then re-connect to do the update should be ok then.

Don't think any of the games I've downloaded and installed have taken more than an hour to complete, what Internet speed you on?

Worth mentioning to those with slower broadband or issues with installing

To speed up installation disconnect console from Internet then install so game can't check for any needed updates.

At very least allows you to get game installed without sitting like a chimp watching a bar that says installing 0% for an age

Are you wired or wireless? If you are wireless try it wired and see if you have the same results and if you are wired try wireless. Let us know. Good Luck!

i was wireless, and after trying your suggestion im still being disconnected from the internet

Try doing a hard reset like this and then try it wired again. May not help but it is worth a try.

Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
for results.

What i do when ever i buy a hard is disconnect from the internet install the game then reconnect to the internet and do the update, hope this helps

Disc copies will install faster offline.

Disconnect from the internet, install the game. Then connect to the internet and install the updates.

The reason that it takes longer to install when you're online is because the ONE starts multi tasking and splitting resources between installing the game and downloading the updates at the same time.
