    Internet connection when Xbox One is powered off


    Hi all,

    I have a query around my Xbox One's connection to the internet when the console has been powered off.

    I've been experiencing a severe drop in connection when the console isn't actively on, to the point where doing a speedtest reports a download speed of .018mbps.

    Is my console interfering with my router? Why does my speed return whenever it's on, is there a conflict somewhere?

    A few sticky details

    Using a Sky Sagemcom F@ast2504n wireless router

    XB1 is wired ( into port 2 on the router which shows as red whenever the console is powered off )

    2 x Xbox 360's connect wirelessly to this router along with the usual household stuff ( mobiles/tablets etc )

    No known NAT issues, they're all Open on all 3 consoles.

    Usual up/down speed ranges between 10-13mbps for down and 0.75-1.5mbps for up.

    No known exchange issues.

    No interference on the line ( checked with Sky last night )

    Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated as I don't really want my console powered on 24/7 just to have half decent internet!

    Xbox connected to the internet but not Live

    Same issues here, connected once and have Destiny connection errors so powered down and reset router. Powered everything back on and the xbox one apparently can connect to the the Internet, show me my connections speeds and states a great Multyplayer connection
    however the main screen keeps asking to connect to Xbox Live. Xbox shows no signs of being connected to the internet no matter what I do.

    Xbox one wifi, desperate for help

    I've had my Xbox one for a little over a month and I just got home from vacation and I tried to play it but it reset my connection and now when I try to reconnect to my wifi the Xbox will shut off and reset itself every single time. I thought it was my power cord but I tried 6 different ones and I'm still having the same issue. I can play games offline but when trying to connect to the Internet and my wifi signal the Xbox will just shut off and turn back on with some weird Xbox starting screen

    Looking for group posts not working

    Try to disconnect your internet then powercycle your xbox one and try again.

    Steps:

    Turn off your Xbox One Via the power button on the console hold it for 10 seconds.

    Once the indicator lights on the front of the Xbox One and the console's power brick are off, unplug the power brick from the back of your console.

    Wait at least 30 seconds.

    Plug the power brick back into your Xbox One and turn it on

    Connect to internet and try again

    Hi disconnect xbox one from the internet then do the following steps

    Once the indicator lights on the front of the Xbox One and the console's power brick are off, unplug the power brick from the back of your console.

    Wait at least 30 seconds.

    Plug the power brick back into your Xbox One and turn it on

    Connect back internet and try again

    Upnp and package lose.

    Try disconnecting your xbox one from the internet and do a hard restart.

    To hard restart.

    Turn off your Xbox One Via the power button on the console hold it for 10 seconds.

    Once the indicator lights on the front of the Xbox One and the console's power brick are off, unplug the power brick from the back of your console.

    Wait at least 30 seconds.

    Plug the power brick back into your Xbox One and turn it on

    Connect to the internet n try again hope it helps

    • Connect to the internet and try again.

    BANDWITH USAGE

    The Xbox One has a feature called "Instant-On" where when you turn the console off, it stays connected to your internet and continues to download any new games and updates to your console while it's off. You might want to go and turn this feature off and
    put it in "Power-Saving Mode"
