Internet Connection issues confirmed.....

Just got off chat with xbox support and they have informed me of the below........

Zyra Jane: I was given the word here that we are already aware that most of the 360 consoles are unable to connect to internet and since you have done all the guaranteed steps and it still does not work, it may mean that you are affected
with our emerging issues.But don't you worry since this temporary issue and as we speak today our technicians are now working to fix it.

Mark: Is that a confirmed issue at your end then Zyra? Are there any other steps I need to take in the mean time?

Zyra Jane: There are no other steps that you need to take Mark as we want to lessen your spent effort on this and as this issue is handled with out most care by our technicians and I will do monitor this case and will email you once we have

Microsoft addresses Xbox One Kinect privacy concerns

My primary concerns are the awful DRM issues they have going on. If Sony confirms that they aren't having any of the same practices or requiring internet connections, it spells very bad news for Microsoft at this point. I'll stay optimistic though.

Have Sony actually confirmed that the ps3 will not have an always on Internet connection.
And have they confirmed that 2nd hand games will not be banned from their console.

 

Well, at least now I know I'm not the only one and it's not on my end. Let's hope they fix it soon.

 

Hey mark1ee. I came across your same message on the Virgin Media support forum. I'm also with VM and I have what sounds like an identical problem with my xbox 360 not connecting to the internet, even though the router and other attached devices are working
and accessing the internet fine without any issues.

The dashboard network test fails at the internet stage even without any storage device connected so that rules out any Gamertag account issues I think. Also after the failed test the xbox shows the current status of xbox live (showing the current matchmaking
issue), which means it has to be connecting to at least one xbox live service to get that info.

So, I'm wondering if your error code is the same as mine? (8015190e). You wrote that you now think this is an ISP problem. Do you think they are blocking some xbox live services from working? It is strange though that many other people right now are having
similar problems regardless of ISP and I also have a friend that is with VM and they have no problems...at the moment, touch wood.

Because of this, I still think it is Microsoft that are at fault here.

 

But yet they are still collecting money for sub par service, didn't see any comments by Xbox for a refund or credit on the account!

 

Just to report. Same issue here from jan 5 until now. I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and definitely they have a huge problem in their hands...

 

Is anyone having problems with matchmaking ?
