    Internet connection disappears in backwards compatibility


    When I play a backwards compatibility game on my Xbox one (last one was gears of war 2) it disconnects from Xbox Live but only for the backwards compatibility interface and game, I can still see my friends online on the regular Xbox guide

    I want to access online features on my 360 games!

    You think Xbox will have their own PS Now?

    Wouldn't surprise me, honestly. It's a decent replacement for backwards compatibility provided you have a great internet connection.

    What feature would you like to see on the next console?

    Well, I would like to be able to play games while not connected to the internet! Let's see what comes out of that...

    Now, proper backward compatibility would be great too but it probably won't happen.

    Hey there RainbowCrasch!

    This generally happens with a profile issue on the Xbox 360 side of things. While in a Backward Compatible title, press both the menu + view buttons on your controller so that the Xbox 360 guide pops up. From there, select 'Download Profile' and re-enter your
    Xbox Live info.

    Xbox 360 (backwards compatible) games require an internet connection to be loaded to the xbox one due to the emulator.

    With regard to backward compatibility, the Xbox One is the best console. As for the speed of the Internet, it will depend a lot on your connection.

    Also when you first put an Xbox 360 disc in an Xbox One that is on the backwards compatible list the console needs to be connected to the internet and online to allow it to download the backwards compatible version of the game to your console from Microsoft.
