  1. Intermittent video problems upon start up.

I've had my Xbox One for just over a year now and about two weeks ago it started behaving strangely.

When I turn it on I can hear the system start up through my soundbar, I can hear it get to the dashboard and sign me in via Kinect but there's no video display.

I have tried multiple HDMI cables with no effect. I have also plugged another device into the same HDMI port on my TV and that works fine. The only solution seems to be a hard-shutdown, unplugging the power brick for a few minutes and then trying it all
over again. This only works occasionally. For instance, right now I'm on my 8th attempt and still no video. I've also tried turning off 'Instant-On' which did not work either.

    :)

  2. Console freezing upon start up

I tried the steps in the "screen freeze" article (the first one you sent me) with no luck. I cannot even get my Xbox to load all the way so that I can even try and clear the cache.

  3. Console freezing upon start up

I performed the update yesterday (6/20/12) and it seemed successful as I was able to play FIFA 12 afterward. However, after I turned off my Xbox, I was unable to get it to restart. The console will begin to load, then freeze on the white start-up screen.

I have performed the steps of the support article on "freezing" (can't get to the option to clear the cache as it won't load, also tried removing the hard drive which didn't help) and also tried pressing the sync button while turning the console on as suggested
    in a previous forum post.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey there, have you gone through the support articles for this issues?

Your screen is blank after you power on the console

•Confirm that both your TV and Xbox One console are powered on.

•Check that your TV is set to the proper input signal (HDMI).

•Check that the HDMI cable connection to your console is secure.

•Check that the HDMI cable connection to your TV is secure.

•Perform a cold boot on your Xbox One console by holding the power button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds, and then power on again.

•Reset your display settings. Here's how: 1.If there’s a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.

2.On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.

3.Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console.

Note This will boot your console in a low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset these settings again, press the Menu button, select Settings, and then select Display & sound.

For more information on advanced display settings, see How to adjust the display settings on your Xbox One console.

•Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.

•Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV.

•Try connecting your console to a different TV.

    Black Screen Upon Start Up

    Hey, Radical!

Sorry to see any issues you are running into. It sounds like your console just needs to be reset every few days. Having the console set to Instant On is like having your PC in sleep mode; once it starts to get sluggish, you normally restart your PC, right?
    Same situation.

The best way to avoid this scenario, besides having it set to Energy Saving mode, is to make sure your console is plugged into the wall directly instead of any surge protectors or extension cables. If that doesn't help you out, you can give this

    troubleshooter page
a shot. Most of it is really basic stuff, but test out the things you haven't done yet, then get back to us on how that works! :)

No luck still. Xbox is in a well ventilated area, no game in it, and it still won't load (though, the 2nd to last time I tried to start it, it was able to load all the way through the white start-up screen but then immediately cut to a green screen).
