intermittent tone and startup issues - Xbox one S 2tb (white premier release console)

Hello. Immediately after applying the update for South Park: The Fractured Butt Whole game, there have been intermittent tones tone and startup/restart issues - Xbox one S 2tb (white premier release console).

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a simple fix for this? I've been so careful with this console, it's casing has barely been touched.

Thanks in advance to those who have info on this issue.

Only tine will tell, they must be trying to shift more consoles by appealing more to people who want to stream 4k or watch Uhd blurays by making the console more affordable, plus alot of gamers already have bought a bigger hd so would likely be happy with
a 500gb machine that costs less

A suggestion from our team is to try restarting the console through the guide menu option.

This process would be to

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Note Pressing the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.

Select Settings.

Select Restart console.

Select Yes to confirm.

From here, try this How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console article.

Let us know if this works!

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

If that does not work.. I would recommend performing a Factory reset on your Xbox one.

Before you try that, make sure you know your email and password for you Microsoft account because you will need to

re-download your profile(s) back onto the Xbox and reconnect to the internet / wifi.

Reset Xbox One Console to Factory Defaults

Hi, Sam.

I'm sorry to say, but this is likely to be a hardware issue.

However, before you consider getting your console inspected by a trusted technician, I would like to ask if you're to bring the Xbox startup troubleshooter?

You can bring it in this way:

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button on the console, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

Note: The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 and 4) and then pressing the Xbox button.

Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10–15 seconds.
Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart.

You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.
The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
