Intermittent connectivity issues

I'm having connectivity issues with my Xbox Series X. Over the past month or so I have been experiencing intermittent lag that is bad enough to get me disconnected from multi-player games. It's very random but frequent, on average it occurs roughly every 30 minutes, sometimes more frequently, sometimes I can play for an hour or two with no issues. My biggest frustration with this issues is that every time I test my speeds, it comes back fine, 0% packet loss, 350+mbps download speed, 10-15mbps upload speed and 39-41ms latency.

I have tried a number of troubleshooting options, contacted my ISP to have them reset my network (which seemed to clear the problem up for about 4-5 hours). I have reset my MAC address, switched between wireless and wired connection (doesn't seem to make a difference at all), I have reset the console to factory settings which didn't seem to help either. I'm currently re-installing some of my games after trying the reset and saving my game data with no improvement, hoping that this solves the problem but I am not hopeful as I don't see how uninstalling and re-installing all of my games will make a difference. At this point I'm just hoping that there may be another fix that I haven't seen somehow, otherwise I will be contacting my ISP and requesting a tech to examine all the physical cables in case that somehow is an issue, and if that doesn't resolve the issue then my final option is to spend $300 to have Microsoft repair the console as it has been out of warranty as of February.

Anyone have any bright ideas?

There is only one reason I can think of to update or factory default you router's firmware , connectivity , I've seen it work before and it's usually the first thing they will have you do if you ever have to call your routers support number...I always
like to try everything on my end so I can say " naw , already did that" .....hope your call back works

There are very few if any reason to have to update the firmware on your router, especially if its from the last couple of years(mine is current and not having any updates for this model anyway). Literally nothing has changed on my network/Internet connection
since the date in question.

Re installing didn't work, even tried clearing the Persistent Storage and unplugging the console for 30 sec as some people have been saying "fixes all issues with your xbox one". More or less I'm up to a factory reset and reinstalling 450 gigs worth of
games (MCC being a digital copy). I've called Rockstar but they are "Experiencing higher than usual call volumes" so I am patiently awaiting a call back.

Which restarts the console anyway with the long boot. So its very well the restart that lets you reconnect to live and not the clear alternate MAC as a simple reboot either the long way or instant on way allows me back on to multiplayer games.

I realize that is what Rockstar asked you to do. Why should I have to restart my console over and over again just to be able to play a game for a few minutes and be right back to where I was.

I'm currently in the process of re installing GTA V in the hopes that it might in some way correct my issue before I call Rockstar.

Can you try to play via a hotspot with a 5g mobile network like a phone. Or go to a family members home or a friend to test if this still happens. Just a process of elimination.
If the games run fine on a 5g mobile signal and run fine in another homes isp, then you can conclude its you isp or router.
But if the problem persists then its something to do with the xbox.

No I realize that it doesn't clear the Alternate MAC but with my dropped connection I just have to reboot either the long boot or instant on and I can get back on. But it only lasts for up to an hour if I'm lucky.

I did try the clear Alternate MAC but it asks you to reboot anyway. Again it is all fine and great that I can get back on for a little while but it is hardly worth the stress or the time to have to be rebooting all the time. Before Oct 27th I had no issues
at all and that is my problem. If it was a simple server outage I'd be fine with that, I get it it happens. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be, and if it is, no one is fessing up to whose fault it is.
