i noticed last night and this morning that whenever I use Plex on my xbox one I have connection issues. I can play online all day but as soon as I begin to stream I can only make it a few minutes before I am kicked from my network. Typically after
I am kicked I test connection, reset the wireless, and watch another 4 minutes before I am kicked again. The last few times I haven't even made it through four minutes. I dont have an incredible amount of networking experience but I tried a few things. I set
up the IP Address to read manually(didn't work), changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, i have restarted my console and router probably two dozen times this morning. I did a hard reset on the Xbox, and also tried unplugging it. I cleared the MAC address which
seemed to work for about 10 minutes. About the only thing I haven't tried is direct Ethernet connection to the router because I don't feel like I should have to do that. The only thing I have noticed is that momentarily on the network settings screen the NAT
type will change to strict then immediately change back. Sometimes the Xbox can not find an IP address either. Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is only one reason I can think of to update or factory default you router's firmware , connectivity , I've seen it work before and it's usually the first thing they will have you do if you ever have to call your routers support number...I always
like to try everything on my end so I can say " naw , already did that" .....hope your call back works

There are very few if any reason to have to update the firmware on your router, especially if its from the last couple of years(mine is current and not having any updates for this model anyway). Literally nothing has changed on my network/Internet connection
since the date in question.

Re installing didn't work, even tried clearing the Persistent Storage and unplugging the console for 30 sec as some people have been saying "fixes all issues with your xbox one". More or less I'm up to a factory reset and reinstalling 450 gigs worth of
games (MCC being a digital copy). I've called Rockstar but they are "Experiencing higher than usual call volumes" so I am patiently awaiting a call back.

 

do the Ethernet connection so can narrow it down to a wireless problem or not....changing nat suggest its in your network though ...

 

I have been getting this too for about 4 months now

I even bought a new router Asus AC5300 spider but it was not that its still doing it

Wasted £400.00 nice!

Another app that seems to do this is "Tunein" radio app

when this occurs I go to the home screen and I am met with a load of "bing whosh whosh" sounds as xbox live reconnects - these noises wake me up at night

I really wish I could get to the bottom of this its ruining my fun

I don't see why I should have to use wired so I'm not going to

 

I'm thinking I've got a bad wireless card in my xbox and it might need some sledge hammer treatment to fix it :¬(
