    Intermittent connection problem


    Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue, or if anyone has a fix. It's pretty frustrating. Here's the problem. Periodically, I'm just entirely unable to connect to Xbox Live, but don't receive any error codes. When I try the hard reset to clear
    the cache, the dashboard just comes back with buttons that say "Connect to Live." But really, the buttons just take you to the "Network Settings" screen. I never get an kind of error or indication of what the problem might be.

    - I'm using a Wired connection, not Wireless

    - "Test Network Connection" shows no issue

    - "Test Multiplayer Connection" also shows no issue

    - NAT is Open - The website shows Core Services as up and running

    There is literally no indication that anything is wrong (and, everything else internet-enabled is fine too) and yet i can't connect. if this only happened once in a blue moon, it wouldn't be that bad, but it occurs far too regularly, probably 1-3 times a
    week.

    Any help would be appreciated. And again, I am already using a wired connection. (Sorry, that seems to be the only advice i ever get for this problem)

    I have the same problem as do scores of other users. It has nothing to do with your ISP. I am in San Diego.

    I have the same problem. Nothing on the forums will work. I have yet to find a solution. Everyone will suggest hard resets and deleting and re-adding your profile.

    I would ring up support and speak to them directly you may even have to open some ports on your router

    Ensure your Xbox ip address is set to auto and that UPnP is enabled on the router. If that does not work turn off UPnP and set up a static ip address and follow these instructions:-
