Intermittent Connection issues on Xbox One

I have had my Xbox One for approximately 2 years now and I generally had no internet connection issues/problems for the first 20 months. Unfortunately, over the last 6ish months I have experienced intermittent periods of lag while using my Xbox.

These episodes last approximately 10-15 seconds long before my connection returns to normal. I spend the majority of the time on my xbox playing Overwatch, so that is where I notice the issue most often. My ping generally runs around 40 ms but during these
periods of lag it jumps up over 400 for about 10-15 seconds before returning back to its normal range. I am completely unable to play during these 10-15 seconds. There does not seem to be a definite pattern to how often these episodes occur, but it is generally
once overy 30 minutes to an hour.

I have not made mention of this issue because I figured that it had to do with ISP. Obviously, my first course of action was to reset both my Xbox and router, which did not resolve the issue. Next, I contacted my ISP and they have reset my modem/router and
even replaced equipment several times. I have run several speed tests on my computer during these 10-15 second episodes and I am always running above 30 mbps download and 15 mbps upload. Additionally, I do not seem to have any issues with any of my other
devices that are connected to my internet network.

The reason that I am writing today is because I recently got a new roommate who moved in and has been using his Xbox one, connected to the exact same network as me. I informed him of my connection issues and told him to watch out for them. Strangely, he
has not experienced any issues at all. Several days ago we moved our Xboxes into the same room and joined a party to play the same game on Overwatch. I experienced the same 10-15 seconds of lag every 30 minutes to an hour as I usually do but he still did
not experience any issues. We were able to compare as our screens were side-by-side and his ping stayed around 40 ms while mine jumped up over 400 ms. This leads me to believe that this is likely an issue with my Xbox One instead of with my ISP as I once
thought.

Any ideas on where I should move on from here to attempt to resolve my internet connection issues?

WWE App intermittent connection issues on XBOX 360

Is there a known issue with the WWE App having intermittent connection issues on the XBOX 360? My other devices work fine with the app.

 

60 mps and 30 ping

I'm on a 30/35Mb connection with Virgin Media in the UK and I haven't experienced any intermittent issues.
