Interesting Xbox Live story..

I have an interesting story to tell.. It all started about 6 years ago while I was paying Xbox 360 and connected to Xbox live I met several friends that have became real close friends to me. Most Live in Mexico city while some Live in Leon Guanajuato and
I'm from South Texas. We would all play either Call of Duty Or Gears of War. While I use to play these games I was real obese and weighed around 230lbs or so and this is where my story took an interesting turn. When the Xbox Kinect came out I was so excited
I bought two of them. I use to play that and got hooked on it and when Dance Central came out I bought mostly every single song that was being released and played all of the Dance Centrals. I played it so much that I started losing weight and actually got
real good at it. And that's all I would play. I lost about 100lbs because of Xbox Kinect, when I was over weight I was actually bullied a lot, but then on feb of last year I decided to go actually meet some of my friends from Xbox Live in Mexico city. I asked
one of my friends if he could go for me at the airport and he said yes. I got there and he was actually there waiting for me and I stayed at his apt. and then later during that time I was there in Mex city another friend i met from Mex city went to meet me
and we also became real good friend. I got to know there cousin's,sisters,brothers,etc.. Mostly all there family there and even went to a New Years party that one of my friend's family were having. last year I also decided to travel from Mex city to Leon Guanajuato
on a bus with my friend from Mex city which me and him are real good friends now to meet my other friends from xbox and also through one of my friends on xbox live which I met in leon Guanajuato, I met his sister which one day he passed the mic to her while
he was playing online and we talked a while and use to skype when i was obese. Well it so happens she started liking me and I actually met her and her brother and her family at leon and then a few weeks ago I went again to Mex city and Leon to be with her.
We are now dating and I've meet so many people in real life in mex city and Leon all because of Xbox and I can't believe it. I now go to Mex city very often, This month I went twice and always by plane. I'm planning on going back to mex city in oct. There
is more to this story than I can write here. I also have pictures. I just want the whole world to know I met the love of my life on Xbox live and she doesn't even play video games and made so many friends in Mex and Leon and I don't even have family there
& I've never lived there. I now lift weights and am very active.. It all started because of xbox and Kinect.. I'm forever so Thankful to MS !!

interesting story

Ok .... y'all might find this boring, but I thought it was cool.



Of course most people have had a situation where ( in dem esp) where teammates atart backing out and you wind up a couple vs a whole team.



Well I was playing dem today and we were getting beaten ....... not extremely bad, but we wernt doing well first round.



Second round starts and suddenly there is a host migration ........... pretty normal ........ teammate being a sore looser.

Well after the host migration, its me vs 5 ......... I thought about leaving, but decided to play it out just for shiggles.After 3 or 4 deaths with maybe one kill, I manage to plant, back off into the corner and see if I can at least get one .... who
knows ... right?



Just as the enmy team start rushing the bombsite, we get another host migration ... suddenly I have a whole lobby join up and level out the numbers.



We wound up winning in overtime.



I just found this pretty cool .... I stick around in situations like that knowing I'll lose, but its fun and challenging.Who'd have known the persistence would pay off.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with backing out .... unless db.





I just like the added challenge of sticking with it when everyone (or most) have given up.





Not always a sensible move, especially irl .. but I do the same there too.





I just thought it was cool that suddenly a whole team came to the rescue. Previously when in that situation, I'd get one or two join, one or two leave .... and so on .

 

That is a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing, the wonderful game makers had actually made the Kinect for that purpose, hoping we would get off the couch and lose some weight while we had fun. Glad to hear that you had found the love of your life out of
playing games. This is a warm lovably story and you should tell the world how games helped you get fit and find love.

 

There is more to this story.. and Yes I'll tell everyone my story. I have so many pictures of all my friends I've met and my crazy adventures in Mexico city and Leon Guanajuato, and also the first time I met the love of my life.. I just can't believe it,
all this happened because of Microsoft's Xbox 360.. I've been told these kind of things don't happen very often and that's why I'm telling the world my story. It really is a unique story of me traveling to another country by myself meeting all these people..
Btw I'm 33 years old and I'll be 34 in Nov.

Yeah I guess I was brave but I had to take a chance and because of the chance I took I met so many people and have so many stories to tell.. That's why I am forever Thankful to Microsoft!!

 

Maybe I should write a book lol
