Interested in increasing storage capacity to over 500 GB for Xbox 360(Original Model) .

I'm currently interested in having a bigger external hard drive that can carry over 500GB(Actual capacity is 461GB). Sadly however no distributor seems to have any to sell based on my findings online. Expect for the ones that require a JTAG Xbox 360 to use(Which
I'm not interested in resorting to.) I can understand that suddenly manufacturing more hard drives that carry over 500GB for even the newer Xbox 360 models is a little far fetch, so I would like to propose a request to produce a system update that will allow
ANY hard drive of ANY kind to be used on the console. 750GB, 1TB, 2TB, HDD, SSD, SSHD, etc. Or at the very least allow for external flash drives with a storage capacity over 32GB such as 64GB, 128GB, or even 256GB to be fully utilized. Other formats such as
the Xbox One already allow for such configurations to made and fully utilized. Please take my request into consideration.

Storage capacity of the Xbox 360 20GB Hard Drive

The storage capacity of the hard Drive is 20 gigabytes.

Note You may notice that the amount of memory that is available for storage is less than the listed capacity of the hard drive. The Xbox 360 system software uses some hard drive memory for system files and to enable compatibility with original Xbox games.

it appears that the 20 gb was one of the first hard drive created for the first xbox 360 not elite so microsoft added capability for the old original xbox which takes up 6 gb or around that depending

It's interesting to me how various Xbox 360 models have been released throughout the last few years. I have the old Pro model with 60 GB of storage. Which model did you buy?

 

I agree with what you are proposing. If you're already able to make these kinds of changes on the Xbox One then I don't see why they shouldn't allow it on the 360.
