Instead of headset adapter I would rather buy a controller with bluetooth built in.

Who really wants some contraption dangling from there cool X1 controller. The fact that X1 even sent a wired headset is so 90's, LOL. I hope they will just make a Turtle Beach X1 Controller, well a Bluetooth controller would work also.

It's annoying and unfair it's like they're trying to force you to buy all next gen products, if they weren't so money based a Bluetooth adapter probably could have been built in to the console or controller so you don't need to buy an adapter but the adapter
you buy for you wireless headset means you need to buy a 2.5mm chat cable from turtle beach which defies the purpose of wireless.

 

XBA Bluetooth Adapter

Just wondering if anybody has the Turtle Beach XBA Bluetooth Adapter and wanting to know if it works with any BT headset? I've already got a rather nice headset and would like to use it rather than shelling out for the official MS bluetooth 'set.

 

Why wouldn't they just do it the same as 360? The bluetooth should be built into the console (I know that is a bit late, but if they built it into anything it would have been the console). The one I bought on ebay is real slick, its just the puck with a
2.5mm headphone jack in it rather than having a wire dangling out. it looks real smooth! I don't personally mind.

Bluetooth is the worst connection you could ask for....

 

I believe the new wireless headsets will be using wi-fi direct...not bluetooth. The bandwidth is greater allowing for better audio quality.

 

i prefer a wired headset myself, which is why i got a pair of TB DPX21, looking forward to the adapter being released because i really like having a mute button in thumbs reach so i can use voice commands quickly without haven't to bother anyone else in
chat.

 

it would always be better being built into the controller because with Bluetooth the closer you are the better it works. I am confused why anybody thinks chat needs better sound quality than Bluetooth. Sounds like the new chat system will have to eat up
a lot of bandwidth if it is indeed that much better. Maybe that's why the games are lagging now with people chatting during games with the current headset.

Bluetooth is good enough for chat and also good enough for background music and taking phone calls during gaming. And its one less thing messing with my router.

 

Wi-fi direct does not go through the router....it is a wi-fi signal (like bluetooth, but with better quality) that goes direct from the source (console) to the headset....this is just like bluetooth, only better quality....."good enough" works for a government
worker....me, I want advancement in technology as we move along to a next gen....

 

The turtle beach tango and xp500 work perfectly w the 360 for wireless chat. Its not game sound its the chat part i am talking about. How clear to ww need to hear vulgar language anyways.

Why would anyone need to walk to another room with a gaming headset? Then if you use smartglass and then connect through wifi direct where will the internet feed in from? All my 50 plus devices that use wifi can only connect to one network at a time. Then
who needs a wifi signal bouncing 2 football fields away from there game?

this is the highest line of oops we have ever been sold. If sound were that much better i would say bose and beats audio would b using it
