Instant-on power consumption

This is more of a suggestion than a complaint but I've noticed that when my Xbox is left Instant-On all night that in the morning it will actually feel a bit warm, which suggests to me that it is using a pretty considerable amount of power for a console
that is supposed to be mostly shut down. I've read that Xbox One uses the most power out of all the current gen consoles while in standby and I have thought of what might be simple solution to cut back on the amount of energy it uses overnight/during the day
when no one is there (I may not be the first person to suggest this). I would suggest that a feature be added to allow a user to set "downtime" for the Instant-On feature where the console will essentially be inactive until a preset time. For example I could
set my downtime between 2AM-6AM and between 11AM-4PM. This could greatly cut down on the energy usage without having to sacrifice the benefits of the Instant-On feature. The console can still be activated using voice control and download updates outside of
the preset downtime. I'm no programmer, but I thought this was a good idea. Hopefully the right people read this post.

X1 power consumption

Reviewing my power bill today. Comparing Feb/13 to Feb/14. The temperature average between the months from last year to this differs by 2C, so not a huge amount. My electricity fee is locked in for 1 more year, so that hasn't changed. Other than changing
all the light bulbs in my house to energy efficient bulbs, all I have changed electronically is adding my X1 (Dec/13). It hasn't been turned off at all (other then reboots from updates) since Dec/13. My electricity usage is actually down just a hair then compared
to last year. By no means am I saying that the X1 is saving me money while it stays turned on, but it sure aint costing me money by leaving it on 24/7.

I really thought I would see a small amount of increase since Dec, but that hasn't been the case. I just found it interesting, that's all.
