    Instant On & Party Chats


    Am I the only one having issues connecting to party chats when using the Instant On feature? I leave my console in Energy Saving mode for the most part, but I like to switch it over whenever I'm trying to download something overnight. The only way I can
    get party chat to work again is by a hard reset or switching back to Energy Saving and restarting. I'd love to leave my console on Instant On so I'm not waiting for updates to download all the time.

    Why can i hear gamechat while I'm in a party?

    Go to Party in Guide Menu (Center Button on Controller) & set your Party Options to Party Chat & not Game Chat etc..

    Frequent Issues with multiple things

    1. Make sure the power settings are correct to either instant on or energy saving, energy saving mode takes longer but it avoids alot of issues since it clears the cache unlike instant on.

    2. I've seen alot of people with that problem and unfortunately dont know a fix.

    3. Party chat is still broken and glitchy, your best bet is you and your friends create a skype account and use that.

    It is sometimes possible to fix the chat by having the party leader switch the chat from open to invite only and back again or have everyone switch from party chat to game chat and back again. Doesn't always work.

    It may be your Internet or maybe a software problem. I know some Xbox users have problema with instant on mode. What's your Internet speed?

    I found out that if you go to settings, power-up and start-up, and then change it to instant instead of energy-saving, the party chat issue was fixed.

    Not many people used the instant messaging, because it really wasn't needed. Most people use party chat now, so in my opinion they just got rid of dead weight.

    I actually like PS+. 360 has a better online experience with better chat/party options and dedicated servers but The tons of Instant collection games i get with PS+ is worth it for me.
