Instant-On not working

I have the One X Scorpio Edition. A couple months ago I had an issue with my xbox shutting off saying it was an overheating issue, but turned out it was a faulty console (googled it, several people had the same issue with games shutting the system off
at the exact same spot in some games). Sent it in for repairs, thats no longer an issue, but now my instant-on doesnt work anymore. Also cant turn the xbox on with a controller. Ive tried several different suggestions-plugging it directly into the wall, different
controller, turning Instant-On off and back on, nothing works. Instant-On worked fine before I sent it in to repair the shut off issue. Nothing at all has changed on my end since I got it back-same power cord, same TV, same power strip, everything is exactly
the same.

Its the same serial number, it just doesnt make any sense that ive never had an issue with the Instant-On before I sent it in for repairs, now I am. I was afraid I’d have to send it in again. Ive looked a bit online on different forums, seems a lot of
people have the same issue.

Hello Bodoms,

We understand that you're experiencing an issue with two items here when discussing your Xbox One X console.

Firstly, the controller is unable to turn the console on:

Hold the power on the front of the console for 7 seconds
After the console shuts completely off, unplug the power cord from the back of the console
Leave the console off and unplugged for 2 minutes

Secondly, the console's Instant-On mode does not function as it should. You've mentioned that it will display the Xbox One X graphic at the beginning when the console is first turned on, when it should jump to the home screen.

Switch the power-mode from instant-on to energy saving
Power cycle the console by using the same steps above
Switch the power-mode settings back to instant-on
Test instant-on mode

Try this for us and let us know the results.

Hello Bodoms,

Sorry for the issue with your settings instant on. We recommend to keep the power plugged directly into the wall. There can be many issues with using power strips or extension cords. When you did the repair do you know if you got the same console or a different
one? You can tell by the serial number. You can try to do an
offline update, as this is to do with the settings. If this doesn't work, you may want to think of getting it serviced again as there something going on. You can set one up at

device support.

I did the factory reset, triple checked that Instant-On was turned on after, still is not working :/

There is no error code. In the settings, Instant-On is selected and turned on, but when I turn the xbox off, it just doesnt turn back on like its supposed to. Every time, I get the start up screen that shows the One X 4K chip, the green xbox screen, then
dashboard. Also, I always have to hit the button on the console, I cant turn it on with a controller.
