Discus and support Instant-On Not Turning Back On in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I am having a problem with the instant-on, when I turn the console off it wont start up again with the controller, I have to press the power button on...     Instant-On Not Turning Back On


    I am having a problem with the instant-on, when I turn the console off it wont start up again with the controller, I have to press the power button on the console and it does a full start up, it seems like the system is fully shutting it self down or crashing
    while in instant-on mode. any solutions? Thanks.

    Xbox turns on by its own

    I had this during a preview....

    Many who use instant-on are having weird things occur.

    Try a hard reset and then see if it happens again. I'm not going to suggest turning off instant-on as that's one of the benefits of having an Xbox one.

    Receiving unwarranted MSG - "Do you own this game or app?"

    I had the same problem with PvZ. What worked for me was turning off "Instant on", rebooting the console, re-enabling "Instant on" and turning off "Resume Games Quickly".

    How often does this happen? Most issues with Instant-on mode are usually fixed with a simple
    power cycle.

    Also, are you on the Insider/Preview program?

    it happens pretty much everytime I turn it off for more than 10 mins, no I'm not in the preview program.

    and I have power cycled many times, thanks.

    well after trying a bunch of other things, different power cord, different TV, power cycling, factory reset etc.., I cant figure out what the problem is and so far no one else seems to have this problem or a solution, so I've decided
    to advance exchange it. thanks.

    Voice commands not working

    For "Xbox on" to work properly you need to have it set to instant-on.

    I'm sure it is, but go to settings, then all settings then start up mode. Turn instant on mode off if it's on and then reset your console. Turn it back on and turn back on instant-on.

    See if that helps.

    It's back and seems related to using the instant signin option when consoles are set to the instant on power mode.

    It's as if when those options are chosen it loads too quickly to get the content. I'd turned instant sign in off and the issue had stopped completely . Post the 23rd id turned it back on and issue reoccurred this morning in the UK.

    I've now turned off instant sign in and expect the problem to go away again.
