    INSTANT ON ISSUE WITH XBOX ONE S


    Hi,

    Just got Xbox ONE S last week. I have an issue with Instant on where it is very very inconsistent. Will work for a little while then when I press home on controller The Xbox doesn't respond. Controller keeps flashing and I physically have to press (X) on
    the console to fire it up. Now when this happens it isn't starting in instant on mode instead it is a full cold boot (green screen)

    What is happening? My previous XB1 day one edition was not behaving like this.

    I am now plugged direct into the wall sockets. Exactly same place as previous xbox lived. the only other thing that has changed is a new Sony Bravia TV next to it.

    It is driving me mad.

    Please help!

    Xbox One S D/L speed is 16Mb

    Its a current bug with the Xbox One S - Do a restart of the console and you'll get the speed back. It's an issue with the Instant On setting

    Slow network bug (Xbox One S Instant On)

    If I use the Instant On setting with my new Xbox One S I have speed issues with the network. I can start up an download at full speed, around 80-100mbs no problem. Put the One S into sleep mode - come out of it later in the day and any downloads I do will
    be 10mbs or slower. Rebooting the One S fixes the issue. I'm assuming its a software issue on the OS side.

    Instant-on is susceptible to strange system behavior after a few days to a couple weeks.
    I suggest you do a complete power cycle.



    It happens to me after about a week or two, usually. I've set my console to Instant-On, and I do a power cycle once my Xbox starts showing signs of little things not working correctly.

    this problem is related to the xbox one s and instant on (if you disable instant on its fine) the xbox one s has a different wireless card that the xbox one.. for this problem it shows slow speed when you do the network test...

    so I got the new update today and I figured I would enable instant-on again to see if the problem was fixed. NOPE (kind of figured so) power up from sleep and got slow wireless speeds 1MB on the tests from the xbox one. disabled instant on and its fine (varies
    from 60-140 or so but that's normal for wireless)..

    is there anything else I should be doing to report this issue and get some kind of a bug id created for tracking????????

    The Instant-On feature on the Xbox One, One S and One X consoles can cause compatibility issues with the on board switch inside some routers, I would suggest you try turning off the Instant-On feature on your console and try connecting.

    To turn off the Instant-On feature on your Xbox One, One S and One X consoles:

    1. Press the Xbox logo button on your controller to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings > All settings.
    3. Select Power & startup > Power mode & startup.
    4. Select Power mode and change the setting to Energy-saving mode.
    5. Once the Energy-saving mode has been selected you should no longer experience disconnection issues.

    So I'm having the same issue on instant mode my xbox one s 2 Tb will drop the connection no matter what, its annoying at best! ... anyone have a solution? is the problem being addressed?
