That makes sense, thank you. I also hear quick, high-pitched beeps. I have heard that before with hard drives too, but to be sure, is that okay too?

My power brick is also making a hum that sounds like a little fan. It only happends in Instant-On mode, when theres a white light. I guess that means its normal.

What you describe appears to be normal. When the console is off and instant-on is enabled, you will hear the hard drive working when games are downloading or updates are being installed.

With instant-on enabled, even when the console is doing nothing, you will hear the power brick humming. People have been complaining about his ever since the Xbox One was released, but this state of the art. The only way to get rid of that is to disable
instant-on.

I figure your console works as intended, even if this may be somewhat disappointing for you.

It really depends how loud you are saying it is. When in Instant On (standby mode, power light is white), it does make a faint humming/buzzing sound, as does the power supply, but it's barely audible unless you've got your ear quite close to it. If that's
the level of noise you have, there's nothing to worry about.
