Instant On causes problems after a few days

The Xbox One instant on feature is great. However, once my Xbox has been in this mode for a few days things stop working and the only way to fix it is to cold boot. not exactly the 10 years of instant on that was reported! When i run an app or try to access
anyyhing it doesnt work. - it jsut does nothing. all i can do is swipe left and right through the PINS, HOME. STORE and FRIENDS sections. Even kinect doesnt wanna play - ill give the command and it will jsut sit there showing me all the green lettering options
that i can choose after saying xbox.

The asnwer to this cannot be restarting every 2 to 3 days? this makes a mockery of instant on. Is it my console thats the issue?

Xbox one won't register my internet password

If you have your Xbox One on instant on mode turn it to energy saving mode instead. Instant on causes alot of problems with networks.

 

How Did The Xbox One Pass Quality Testing?

I would try switching from instant on mode to energy saving mode if your using it - it always causes me no end of problems if I use in instant on.

As for the blinking xbox logo after powering down, I see this too, I think it's where it is continuing to update a game or load to the cloud.

 

I had the same problem. I called and the final solution was to factory reset the Xbox.

 

oh right - did factory restting help at all?

 

For me it did. They said it was a corrupted file in my xbox.

 

It's the instant on function. I just had this happen today. I took a disc out and it turned off. I put a disc in and it turned off. Then it would not let me play my game. I went into my settings and turned the energy saving mode on and turned the system
off. Turned it back on and it works fine. This is not the first time I have had to do this either.
