Installing Xbox one games

Does anyone know how to install a game from a disc without internet? I am trying to install call of duty black ops 2(360 version) and it's extremely slow when connected to the internet. So I tried installing it without internet and it won't even start.
Any ideas?

Installing Xbox One games

I am used to installing games on my 360 and then deleting them when I have finished playing it. I intended to do the same with my Xbox One games but can't see how to do this. Can anyone give me some advice?

Hello Jaden!

Sorry to hear you're having problems with this.

Normally, if you were trying a normal Xbox One version of a game, it would have no problem. However, since Backwards Compatible are basically installing into an emulator of the 360 that is updated via the internet, you would totally need internet to completely
install it.

If it's like, going slow, then I would suggest visiting our page at
Troubleshoot slow game or app downloads on Xbox One and see if that helps speed things up a little bit.

Xbox 360 (backwards compatible) games require an internet connection to be loaded to the xbox one due to the emulator.

Thanks for your post. I understand you are noticing random games installing onto your Xbox One Console. If this console is not your home Xbox, someone else's profile may be set as home. If this happens, any new games that person installs will then install
on other consoles. To prevent this from happening, you can adjust you settings to not install games remotely; check out this article:

PS4 games have to be installed, same as Xbox One. The installation speed is faster on PS4, but the game still installs.

Thanks for your post. To clarify, are you asking about games on the Xbox One or Xbox 360? A game disc acts as a license to a game, on the Xbox One, the disc allows you to install the game data to your console, even though it is installed on the console you
will still need the disc in your device to launch the content.
