Installing without working DVD drive

I'm buying at half the usual price of a fully funtioning used console, an XBox One console which according to the professional computer retailer on eBay, will not read game discs. (I have owned a 360 for over 7 years). I'm already aware that many games
are now installed via download, not using a DVD or BDR. But if I did buy a DVD/BDR game, can it be installed via any of these methods: 1) via a network connection to my laptop, which has a BDR. 2) via a USB BDR/Writer 3) via zipping up the contents of the
game disc and downloading to the hard drive of the One console, then unzipping and installing 4) via an emulated BDR on the console, which can be shared via a home network connection to my laptop???

Brand new NCAA Football 13 won't play

Yes, this is the only game that is having this issue. I've tried almost a dozen games and some DVDs. I tried installing the game but it I get the "dirty disc error" around 34%. I've cleaned my cache, restarted, started without the hard drive, started without
logging into xbox live. nothing seems to be working

Cant sighn in after up date

Error C810-1012 indicates the DVD drive has been modified which is preventing the system update from installing. If you undo the DVD modifications then the system update will complete without error.

If you purchased the console used, then a previous owner modified the drive. Unfortunatelly, the console is not supported for repair due to tampering.

Not without modifying the console and risking a ban. The games have to install from the disc and have to be able to read the disc to start the game.

A friend of mine is running his console without a DVD drive in it and it works just fine.

Games for Windows Live still works. I know because I use it. You need to install the game from the disc, and put in the key when the installer asks you to. Since you do not have a DVD drive, then your best bet is to get an external DVD drive and install the game using that drive.

I have the same problem, I bought a hard drive
but instalation dont start in menu dont see dvd, I checked on 3 physical copies, my other games work without any problems

I do not think you will be able to install it without a DVD ROM drive, however if you are willing to spend some money there are some good options for USB DVD ROM drives that are very reliable. If not, i am sure that you may be able to transfer the base
files from the original hard drive to the new one.
