    Does the digital install for a game continue like downloads did for the 360 even if the power is off?

    Alan Wake won't install from PAL disc

    I powered off my X1, unplugged and after restart, its installing.

    download updates or games while powered off

    so the Xbox 360 has the ability to download games while powered off, does the xbox one have the same feature ?

    If the console is set to 'Instant On', anything you are downloading will continue to download when you turn off the console. Likewise, console updates will also download and install too.

    I know the Xbox one will download and install updates while in the low powered state. but will it install the disk while in the low powered state?

    Xbox One Instant On VS Energy Saving and External HDD

    If You have your Xbox set to 'Instant On' then all system and game updates will download and install automatically. Meaning no more waiting to play games while updates download/install.

    System updates will install but may need you to press the power on button instead of saying 'Xbox On'.

    I have my external storage turned off while my Xbox is off. I've never noticed and speed differences with it being off.

    Stuck on update?

    If it has DOWNLADED and installed and frozen. I Would advise t hold the power button until the xbox completely turns off. Then try to turn it on again.

    If its still only downloading....then aswell... just hold the power button (aprox 5sek). And FFS, USE A CABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE!

    Dont turn the console off while it installs!
