Installing or updating

I tried to update Fortnite. It world not updated. So I restarted my system, unplugged my system, and I checked the internet connection (which was nothing wrong with the internet connection), but nothing would work. So I uninstalled Fortnite and tried to reinstall, but now I can't even reinstall Fortnite

Updates for the console itself will only install on the internal storage, and updates for games will only install where the games are stored. So if the game is installed on the internal storage, then the update for that game will install on the internal storage. You cannot pick and choose where an update is installed.

On your Microsoft Store App click your profile icon then click “My Library” after that “Get Updates”, you should see all updates available.

Sorry to hear about your issues with updating. A quick question to help:

Is this happening on your Xbox? If so, doing a restart of the console can usually clear it up. How to Restart Console | Xbox Support
If it is on PC, please follow the steps below:

Repair and reset the Xbox App and Gaming Services.
- Open the Settings app on your computer and go to Apps, then find the Xbox app.
- Next, click Advanced Options, then scroll down the list and click Repair (let it repair) then click Reset (let it reset)
- Now repeat for Gaming Services and the Microsoft Store.
Check the core services that run in the background which provide the Xbox app, and Game Pass all their functionality and connectivity.
- Open the Start menu, search Services then open Services. Scroll down the list and find all the Xbox entries (they are near the bottom).
- Gaming Services (There are 2 of them)
- Xbox Accessory Management Service
- Xbox Live Auth Manager
- Xbox Live Game Save
- Xbox Live Networking Service
- When you find them right-click on them and select Start. If you can see that they are already running, you can skip them.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.
