    Hi

    I have been playing GTA5 from the DVD, however the DVD player is struggling to read the disk, so wanted to install the play disk to a USB flash drive. Problem is there isn't an install option. Googling shows lots of people have successfully done this so
    it must work or the option has been removed. Most of the stuff I read regarding this in forum posts and blogs are from 2013/2014 so it's possible a DLC has removed the option.

    Any help gratefully received.

    having problems installing dual disk games

    Just recently got GTAV , Assasins crrd black flag, and Black ops ghosts. Failed to install all three. After two sets of disks for GTAV the various nature of the failures were to many to list. Assasins creed was odd, could play the tutorial on 1 of the disks
    but the campaign disk was unrecognizable. Same with the BO ghosts. I could play the online multiplayer disk but the install disk was unrecognizable. Also got Mindcraft which installed fine. Also installed Battlefield 4 no problem. Patched Defiance for 2 hours
    and played for the past few days. Hardware seems fine. I have a hard time believing I got bad disks on all three of these games.

    QUESTION IS, is there a problem installing these newer two disk games on older 360's. Mines the slim with the 320gig dr.

    Having problems with lots of newer games on older 360

    I have an Xbox 360-s with 320gb HDD.

    AC Black Flag ... Disk 2 works great, can play tutoial no prob. Disk 1 ( install disk) unrecognizable.

    Black ops ghosts ... Disk 1 works great. Can play local and online. Disk 2 ( install disk ) unrecognizable.

    GTAV 2 sets of disks, install never made it to disk 2.

    Diablo also un-recognizable.

    All disks are pristine.

    Battlefield 4 loaded no problem along with a few other titles. Have a hard time believing it is a bad opticle drive. reads lots of disks no problems. Just not install disks on a lot of newer titles.

    Installing your game to an external drive isn't recommended anyhow--you'll get some pretty bad loading times, and texture/item pop in. USB 2.0 is a bad bottleneck in terms of read speed, and your DVD drive can outperform whatever any USB drive can give
    you.

    However, if you still want to, you can remove your internal drive, boot up the game, and select your external to install to. I'll just remind you that flash drives should _not_ be used under any circumstances. They're cheap, they're slow (er than even external
    USB 2.0 drives), and they're not going to last you very long, especially with a game as demanding as GTA.

    I'm having the same problem, but at the beginning of the Trevor missions. I only have disk one installed and I have tried reinstall/clearing cache/ rebooting after install and so on, I've had the disk's replaced twice and I even bought a new hard drive/
    tried installing to USB flash 18Gb... Nothing works.

    My Xbox plays everything else fine by the way and I'm having no other problems, I've been through GTAV forums and people are talking about it being an Xbox update???

    Its the game that restarts to title screen tho, the Xbox doesn't actually freeze, my Xbox is fine during the process.

    Really want to carry on playing GTAV, getting really annoyed! :(

    How do you enable cloud storage?

    Are you trying to install GTAV? If so you would need an official Microsoft hard drive or a USB flash drive with at least 8GBs of free space. You cannot install GTAV to the cloud
