Installing games

Hi I'm trying to install assassin creed black flag, and it gets to 34% and freezes forcing me to uninstall and try again . I hard reset my Xbox and cleared cache. then attempted to install it again and it got to 33% and froze

from the drive, but that's it. The Transfer Cable device is not visible in-game as a valid storage device.

The 4GB console is really for casual gamers. The HDD-equipped consoles
are for more traditional gamers.



Yes, they expect you to buy a HDD-equipped console or a HDD accessory if you're going to be doing more than casual gaming and light duty usage of the console.

[/quote]If you have a really slow internet connection then it might seem as the install is stuck because the console downloads a title update while installing. As the Forza title update is apparently massive being a few gigabytes then this can take hours
if you have a slow connection.

Sorry you're having issues installing your Xbox One game.

Make sure that you’re connected to Xbox Live and signed in with the profile that originally purchased the content.

Try making sure you have enough space:

1. Say “Xbox, go to notifications,” or select Notifications in the upper-left corner of your Home screen.
   
2. See if there are any notifications about low or unavailable hard drive space. Xbox One will alert you when you’re running low.
   
3. If there’s a notification about low drive space, you’ll have to either delete content to free up space or add an external drive. For information about setting up and managing external storage, seeUnderstand
   and manage storage on Xbox One.

Are you wireless or wired? If you are wireless try installing the game using a wired connection.

If that doesn't work, see if you're plugged into a power strip. If you are, then plug the console directly into the wall (this seems silly, but honestly the power strip does some weird things sometimes).

Hi hydro skillet, storage is not a problem as I've got a external harddrive. I'm using a wired connection, and I was plugged into a power stripped and tried plugging directly into the wall. the download got to 33% and froze again

Is it on your games section of games and apps at all? If it is then Delete it but clucking menu then manage game. If it's not there, then go to your queue completely remove and try to add back. If that doesn't work try clearing your alternate MAC address.
Go to Network > Settings and clear alternate MAC address
