Installing games via the Xbox app on PC

I just purchased game pass ultimate and am trying to download games. It is letting me download some games, but not all the games. I am only really wanting to play Halo Wars and it errors out about 2 seconds after hitting install. I get the following error code 0x80073cf9. I have looked everywhere and cannot find the solution to this issue. It does not do this for every game I try to download for example I can download mortal combat and gears of wars but not anything halo related. I have also uninstalled the xbox app multiple times, updated windows, reset the microsoft store, and restarted my pc.

I'm sorry it did not work. I can suggest you two more steps if you want to:

Please see if there is any older device linked to your Microsoft Account:

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices, sign in, and search for any old device.

Select Show details > More actions > Remove.

Select I'm ready to remove this device > Remove.

After that, go to: https://account.microsoft.com/devices/content and remove the old device from this too.

Find the device you want to remove and select Unlink.

And try to create another Local Account:

Press Win+R Keys.

Type netplwiz and press Enter.

Click Add button.

Click Sign in without a Microsoft Account. If you do not see that option, disconnect from the Internet.

Click Local account if prompted.

Type the username you want, and the password. You must also specify a hint. Click Next.

Click Finish.

Make the new local account an admin account:

Select Start > Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users > Select the Account Owner Name (you should see "Local account" below the name) > Change Account Type.

Select Administrator, and then select OK.

Sign in with the new Administrator Account.

After that:

Go to Start > Type Services > Open it.

Find all Xbox Services (Xbox Accessory Management Service, Live Auth Manager, Live Game Save, Live Networking Service). Right Click > Properties> Set the startup type to Automatic. Also Start them.

Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options > Privacy > Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart." Restart your PC.

Try to install the games on this new local account to see if your actual account is not corrupted.

I appreciate all your help, but that also did not work. I guess it just will not work on my pc.

Then you could try using a new Windows installation or a different profile session on the PC

Ok, let's try this, the disk on which you wanna install the game, do a new partition on it using the disc manager option, then format that new partition to NTFs and then try again to install on that new partition
