    Installing games to my terabyte error


    I recently bought a 2 terabyte sea gate drive from jb hi fi and I started downloading games on it,

    But I woke up today and I was going to download destiny but it said I dint have enough space, my internal drive (hard drive) has 20 gigs and my external drive (terrabytes) has 1.6 tb free, I checked my storage and it said my games are installed to my terabyte
    to default but for some reason it's installing to my internal storage, what should I do so that I can install games to my terabyte

    So you can't play a game until you install the game?

    bad idea...add more space on the outside...and wont be as fast installing/reading from it as the internal. They need a way to upgrade the internal..send it in for a 2 terabyte upgrade or something.

    Xbox One External HDD Revert Back HELP!

    Yes i a having trouble installing my games on my external hard drive i have a q terabyte toshiba usb 3.0, that i formatted on my computer i connected the drive to my console and it only recognizes it has a media outlet meaning i cant install my games. i
    have already try plugging it in in different ports and of course i already did a reboot of the console if anybody knows a solution to my problem plz reply

    Updating game

    On the one terabyte one that came with the xbox, there is 70gb left. On my 2 terabyte external there is 1.3 terabytes left. Plenty of room to install a game 65gb

    There is an external hard drive plugged into the console. I believe it is 3 terabytes and I have all my games that don’t require an SSD to run installed on there.

    Hi Rostom,

    Thanks for a response, that’s correct, it’s installed from a disc, when I attempt to open it loads up a picture of a wizard looking at hogwarts and then will back out to the Xbox dashboard, doesn’t give me any errors or anything. Still got half a terabyte of storage, no issues with launching any other disc games

    My Call Of Duty Cold War game won’t install.

    I had the same issue.. did the same as said above and it instantly installed.. doesn't make any sense being I have almost a terabyte of free space on my external.. oh well.. lol..

    Install internally!!! 🤣

    What sizes external HDD you getting?

    Probably only 1 Terabyte that should be more than enough space for me. Maybe 2 Terabyte depends on price and how many games will fit on the Hard drive.
