    Installing Games on External Hard Drive


    When I install a new game and then turn my Xbox off, it stops installing the game and puts it in the que. I have the "When Xbox is off turn off External Storage" button unchecked. Is there any way to fix this so that games will install to my external while
    my Xbox is off? I do have it on Instant on mode as well.

    If you have an external hard drive could you try deleting a game and installing it directly to the console's hard drive to rule out issues with the external drive itself?

    I'm gonna be more specific: the game doesn't accept installation on external storage. Whether it's flash drive or external hard drive, the game isn't meant to install on external storage connected through USB just like Need for Speed Rivals on Xbox 360.
    You need to install it on an internal hard drive (media hard drive). The link I provided to you aren't external hard drives; they're internal hard drives for the Xbox 360:
