Installing game issues

For awhile the games I'd play on disk would run decently. But now when I install a game disk to the drive my Xbox will no longer read it.

~For example: I was playing DOA5U on my Xbox 360 Perfectly fine today no issues what so ever.

~I decided to install the game after putting it off for awhile.

~I get back and go to start up the game.

~It says "Play game." Without the picture.

~ I get to a black screen with the unrecognizable disk message popping up.

This has happened on multiple games, anyone know why?

~~Side note, I'm using one of the old white models. It only started recently~~

Issues installing games (0x87E00065)

Hello team,

I'm hoping someone can help me. My Xbox One S is three weeks old, I've installed a few games (both digital and from disc) without issues. I then bought five new games on disc and began installing them; all of them were fine, except two. Metal Gear Solid
V Day One Edition and Fallout 4. These games are all brand new, retail purchased, never opened. But I get the 0x87E00065 error when installing them and very strangely, they both give this error after exactly 2.00 GB is installed (see attached
pics).





I've tried installing in offline mode, deleting the data and reinstalling, following the

Microsoft guide for this error but still no joy. If I install while online and downloading the updates for the game, it errors out as well, just at a different point.



I successfully installed other games from disc after giving up on these two so I don't think this is an issue with the internal hard drive or Blu Ray drive. And the fact they both stop at exactly 2.00 GB seems like more than a coincidence. Is anyone able
to shed some light?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having that problem. I have an older Xbox 360 model myself. One thing I would try, is to disconnect your Xbox 360 hard drive when your console is off. After you do that, turn on your console and load into your dashboard.


Turn off your console again, re-connect your Xbox 360 hard drive, and restart.

See if that helps you out any.

I've tried that multiple times MattKV ,but to no avail. Any other suggestions?

 

Hello again. I've thought more about your question. First of all, I would recommend you try and clear your console's cache. Here is a link to learn about how to do this: support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

If that doesn't seem to solve your issue, then head over here to learn about how to transfer the data off of your hard drive at this link: support.xbox.com/.../storage

It sounds like you may have to re-format your drive, or it is possible your drive may be beginning to fail. You are using an Official Microsoft Xbox 360 drive, right?

Hi I have bought gtav for me to play on my son's x box 360 however when he originally set his x box up he put on parental controls and he cannot remember the password he used! I have tried re setting the whole settings but cannot. Any help would be greatly
