Installing and Updating Games, also games not starting or are corrupted

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

To fix this, please perform a reset on your console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Also, if you have an external hard drive plugged into your console, move games that you're having trouble updating to your Internal Storage then attempt to install a game with the hard drive unplugged.

do you have any pending updates for the game? also you may have to delete the game and install again with all updates in case an update has got corrupted

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have question on games uninstalling. If you cancel a game update, or update fails for any reason. This can uninstall the game. This feature has been added to prevent corrupt game
installs. When a update is paused or cancelled and started later, it caused corruption within the game.

You can also try to install the game again but once it will start, it will be asked to download the game update, just select no and wait for the end of the game installation, the update will be asked again once the game will be started.
